Drone Certification Program

The Benedict College B.E.S.T. Lives Center is offering state-of-the-art drone training programs for students of all skill levels. In-person instruction provided by AINautics (EMBED LINK – https://ainautics.com/), a nationally recognized leader of drone technology training, will support industry certifications to prepare students to operate unmanned aerial systems (UAS) industry. Upon completion of the courses, students will be equipped with the knowledge to serve as drone pilots and successfully complete certifications.  

AIT 200 – FAA 107 Certification / 32 hours

Description: Prepares participants for the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification. Covers airspace classifications, weather reporting, remote pilot responsibilities, and operating requirements. 

Cost: $2,232 

Delivery: 4 days = 32 hours 

Training Day: January 10–11, 2026 and January 17 –18, 2026 add the times 9 am – 5 pm 

Virtual Review Day: January 23, 2026 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.  

Test Day: January 26, 2026  

Delivery Location: Benedict College Business Development Building (BDC) 

Description: Focuses on UAS flight operations, drone-software alignment, Crew Resource Management (CRM), simulation, and team-based project scenarios. 

Cost: $1,584  

Delivery: 4 days = 32 hours 

Proposed Schedule: February 7-8, 2026 and February  14-15, 2026 9 am – 5 pm 

Review Day:  February 20, 2026  11 am – 2 pm virtual  

Test Day:  February 23, 2026 TBD location  

Delivery Location:  Business Development Building (BDC) 

Description: Equips participants with knowledge on forming and running a drone business, including compliance, insurance, marketing, and post-flight processing. 

Cost: $1194 

Delivery: 3 days = 24 hours
