Drone Certification Program​

The Benedict College B.E.S.T. Lives Center is offering state-of-the-art drone training programs for students of all skill levels. In-person instruction provided by AINautics, a nationally recognized leader of drone technology training, will support industry certifications to prepare students to operate unmanned aerial systems (UAS) industry. Upon completion of the courses, students will be equipped with the knowledge to serve as drone pilots and successfully complete certifications.  

Scholarship Opportunities

A limited number of scholarships are available for students who would like to participate in the Drone Program.

Drone Certification Hero

Courses

AIT 200 – FAA 107 Certification / 32 hours

Prepares participants for the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification. Covers airspace classifications, weather reporting, remote pilot responsibilities, and operating requirements.

AIT 300 – Drone Applications & Flight / 32 hours

Focuses on UAS flight operations, drone-software alignment, Crew Resource Management (CRM), simulation, and team-based project scenarios.

AIT 400 – Drone Software & Capstone / 24 hours

Equips participants with knowledge on forming and running a drone business, including compliance, insurance, marketing, and post-flight processing.
